Ninjas in Pyjamas releases Sonneiko from their roster. Though NiP have yet to make a formal statement on the matter, Sonneiko was quick to tweet out the recent update of him now being teamless. Kyle Freedman respond to the tweet that this was a bad move on the part of NiP. This leaves both NiP and Alliance without a permanent position 5.

Before the roster was acquired by NiP, Chicken Fighters had seen great success, even playing 4th at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, after beating Team Liquid, NaVi, and the previous Ninjas in Pyjamas squad out of the group stages. They then took down both Team Nigma and Team Spirit, only to lose to Vikin.gg in the lower bracket round 3. The roster then was barely not able to qualify for division 1 of the WePlay! Pushka League, but were able to SUNSfan their way in through the acquisition by NiP. Since then the roster has only been able to put up at best a 5th-6th place finish on multiple occasions. Even most recently failing to reach the playoff stage of the Beyond Epic: Europe/CIS, but losing their spot to Alliance by a difference of 0.1 points (6p vs 5.9p).
