Today HellRaiser announced they were disbanding their Dota 2 roster, but are planning building a new roster around their carry Nix, and soft support Lil. Leaving KingR as a free agent, while xannii and Funn1k are put inactive under the team. This comes after a poor performance in the EPIC League closed qualifier, where they placed last in the group behind, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Tempo Esports, and Khan.

HellRaisers have been on a downward trajectory since their 3rd place finish at the DOTA Summit 11 last year. Having shown some success in the CIS regional events like the Parimatch League, placing in the top 3 each season, their results outside the region have been lackluster. After losing both RodjER and former captain Miposhka, who have moved to Na`Vi and Yellow Submarine respectively, the team had some hope with a rejuvenated Lil coming in to help lead the team. This all fell short, after losing out in the group stages of ESL One Germany 2020, the BTS Summit 13, and finally the closed qualifier of the EPIC League. It is unknown if the new roster will be revealed before the commencement of the new round of DPC qualifiers, whenever that happens.
