Cloud9 announced today that they were departing from the competitive Dota 2 circuit effective immediately. Meaning all members of their roster are available to be signed by other organizations. After disappointing results in their first two events, and the continued uncertainty of the DPC season, it's no surprise. North America doesn't have much in terms of events going on without the DPC supporting the region, thus after the BTS Pro Series was over, there was only an invitational incoming for the region.
C9 leaves Dota 2 again.
Though the roster had a troubling start in the two events hosted by Beyond the Summit, by the end of their run together, they seemed to have come a long way. It came down to their former teammates in CR4ZY stopping C9's hopes of making a strong run in the lower bracket as they lost their first series, 2-1. It's unknown whether the roster will remain together, or if someone may fill the spot on business associates.
