Cloud9 has announced the acquisition of Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard, Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu in place of Rolen Andrei Gabriel "Skemberlu" Ong, Cheng "vtFαded" Jia Hao, and Francis "FLee" Lee from the organization. With this shuffling of players, we will also be seeing Rasmus "MISERY" Filipsen moving to position 4, and Ace moving to position 2.

After the departure of Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao and Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu from Fighting PandaS, a team that had already qualified for the upcoming minor, StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3, many questioned what would be next for the top North American talent. Having only 2 more DPC events available for them, they will most likely have to qualify over their former team, the former J.Storm roster, and Chaos Esports to the next Majors have a shot at securing a spot for TI10. Many fans will be quite excited to see the duo of Johan "pieliedie" Åström and EternaLEnVy working together once again, a bromance often compared to the early days of N0tail and Fly, and Arteezy and cliffs.

Ace dawns the role of Mid

This also means the return of former Team Secret and Ninjas in Pyjamas carry Ace. Though having not played at a DPC event this season, Ace will be bringing a champion’s mentality to the team with 1 Major and 4 Minor victories from previous DPC seasons under his belt. Recently Ace has been filling the position 1 role in many 5-man stacks competing in European qualifiers, but with a strong organization like Cloud9 backing this roster, this team could easily dethrone Chaos Esports as the second-best team in NA. We will have to wait and see how Ace performs as a Mid Player.
