Peter "ppd" Dager, the former captain of NiP and Ti5 winner has retired from professional Dota 2. This announcement comes shortly after a poor performance in ESL's ESL LA Online EU/CIS Regional, and the release of fellow Ti5 winner, Universe. ppd ends him almost 7 year career in Dota 2 just shy of the $3,000,000 total earnings.

PPD Retires

Though it's currently unknown what ppd will do after this, whether he leaves the Dota 2 community entirely, or takes a league management role with valve, he will be missed in game. With Valve continuing their silence about the fate of the DPC Season and whether Ti10 will happen on not, it comes no surprise that more players are leaving the scene.

People theorize Fata to replace him on NIP
