After the conclusion of the investigation in to the matchfixing by CyberTRAKTOR in their game versus Cyber Legacy in the WePlay! Pushka League Division 2, it has been determined that CyberTRAKTOR has been found at fault. This means the player Retsu will recieve a 1 year ban, along with CyberTRAKTOR. They will be replaced with Team Unique, the CIS team formerlly known as forZe Esports from the last minor in the DPC.
Team Unique replace Cyber TRAKTOR
During the investigation it became quite clear that this is an on going issue within the tier 2 scene. With Liquipedia recently taking large action against suspected tournament organizers who have not done their due diligence on suspected matchfixing or useage of smurf accounts, it has significantly reduced the open fraudulant activity in the sub $20k tournaments. This has been the first time in quite some time that a team has been called out for fraudulant activity by a top tier tournament organizer. The larger issue falls on the comment by CyberTRAKTOR management, who stated during the investigation that after discussing with various members in the tier 2/3 scene, that it was very much common practise, and may lean to a larger investigation to follow in the future.
The series in question.
