Saahil "Universe" Arora, formerly of NiP, has retired from professional Dota 2. This news comes shortly after former teammate ppd announces his retirement as well. Universe was the 7th oldest professional player before his retirement, and will be forever immortalized for his dominant performance under the Evil Geniuses banner.

Universe retires

Universe ends his career having competed in 8 of the 9 internationals, and over $3 Million in prize pool earnings. It was thanks to his combo with ppd that the world famous "6 Million Dollar Echo Slam" became common among all Dota 2 fans. Even the chat line "It's a Disaster" came from that very moment. Universe played under Team Dignitas, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Fnatic, and most recently Ninjas in Pyjamas. Until The International 2019, Universe was the only player that had participated in all Valve-sponsored events. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
